Burst slo-mo
HERO13 Black features our slowest slo-mo ever with the ability to record video clips with the action slowed down to 13x normal speed. You’ll also be able to record short 4x slo-mo clips using our highest 5.3K resolution video to catch epic details that you’d never be able to see with the naked eye.
Rugged + waterproof to 10m (33ft)

HERO13 Black features 3 mounting options that make it more versatile than ever. The new Magnetic Latch Mount1 makes it faster and easier to swap your camera from one mounting setup to another. Use the built-in mounting fingers to securely attach your camera to GoPro mounts when you need durable mounting in rough conditions. The 1/4-20 mounting threads can be used with tripods and other standard camera accessories.

HLG-HDR Video
HERO13 Black takes its best-in-class image quality to the next level with the option to record in Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG), a standard HDR format that the pros use to capture 5.3K and 4K video in the 10-bit and Rec. 2100 colour space. This advanced feature requires a compatible display and media player for playback. Users can still capture video using HDR without HLG for viewing on standard displays and media players.
Widescreen, vertical + full screen capture
HERO13 Black’s powerful 1/1.9” image sensor lets you do more. Choose widescreen capture (16:9 aspect ratio) for full-screen playback on a TV or vertical videos (9:16 aspect ratio) for social media posting. For maximum versatility, the full frame option (8:7 aspect ratio) captures a 156° field of view that lets you crop in to create widescreen and vertical shots later.
10-Bit colour + log encoding
HERO13 Black lets you choose between capturing standard video at 10-bit or Log encoding at 10-bit with GP-Log. Capable of displaying over 1 billion colours, 10-bit colour delivers enhanced colour depth, smoother gradations and more realism in your videos. Advanced users can use GP-Log to get more detail in their footage while making necessary image corrections in post-production (a lookup table/LUT is provided).
Timecode sync
Advanced users with more than one HERO13 Black can sync them with the exact same timecode to make multi-camera editing a lot easier. It works with Final Cut Pro®, Adobe® Premiere® and other editing software to further streamline post-production.
27MP Photos + 24.7MP frame grabs
HERO13 Black takes 27MP Single, Interval, Burst and Night photos that let you capture standard, fast action and low-light shots. You can also grab stunning photos up to 24.7MP of your favourite shots from your videos using the GoPro Quik app.
Bluetooth® audio connectivity
Bluetooth® audio lets you wirelessly connect HERO13 Black to compatible devices. Use a wireless microphone for enhanced audio when narrating a scene or conducting interviews. By connecting to your wireless earbuds, your GoPro will be able to hear your voice commands in noisy settings or when it’s mounted out of earshot. You’ll also be able to hear camera alerts through your earbuds to confirm that it got the command and is doing what you want.
Audio Tuning
Audio Tuning lets you adjust sound recording to better fit what you’re capturing. Choose balanced true-to-life sound that’s great for most shots or the Voice setting that enhances vocal clarity while also preserving ambient background sounds.
Quicker QuikCapture
QuikCapture is the fastest and easiest way to power up HERO13 Black and start recording. All it takes is a press of the shutter button. Now you can also set your camera to idle without completely powering down. This lets you start recording again even faster. It’s the perfect way to stay flexible and ready to record during active shoots.
GPS + performance stickers
GPS automatically captures telemetry data that can be overlaid as animated graphics in your video using the GoPro Quik app. It’s a visual way to show off your speed, path, terrain, altitude and G-forces while giving your videos an intense professional vibe.
Front + rear LCD screens
Frame your shots perfectly with either the front or rear LCD screen. Use the large rear touch screen to capture the scene in front of you, or turn your camera around and use the front screen for vlogging and perfectly framed selfies.

Transferring content from your camera to your phone is simpler and faster than ever. HERO13 Black uses Wi-Fi 6 technology for faster, more reliable offloads to your phone and the cloud. You can also choose a lightning-fast wired connection via USB5 or use your SD card to transfer your content to a computer. There’s also unlimited cloud storage with hassle-free auto-upload.2 Just plug in your camera when connected to your home Wi-Fi and the camera does the rest.
Night effects video + photos
HERO13 Black features 3 time lapse and photo modes that let you get creative after dark. Star Trails uses the Earth’s rotation and stars to capture beautiful light trails across the night sky. Light Painting lets you create brilliant brush stroke effects with moving light. Vehicle Light Trails uses night-time traffic to record stunning light trail shots.
Power tools
Nail any shot with in-camera Power Tools. HindSight captures up to 30 seconds of footage before you start recording—even if you press the shutter too late, you’ll still get the shot. With Scheduled Capture, you can set your GoPro to turn itself on and get a shot up to 24 hours in advance. Duration Capture makes it easy to capture video clips from 15 seconds to 3 hours long. Interval Photo snaps photos at fixed intervals while you stay focused on your favourite activities.
Easy or pro controls
